These Terms of Service govern your use of AgentID and any related services accessible through agentid.live. By using the platform, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully.
1. What is AgentID (Agent Identity)
AgentID is an agent identity management platform. It allows users to define a persistent AI persona, including personality traits, communication style, beliefs, and visual appearance: and deploy that identity across multiple AI tools and platforms, such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or any compatible LLM agent. AgentID also provides Studio, a real-time cross-platform monitoring dashboard for all connected agents, and a shared memory system that allows agents to read and write persistent context.
The platform is operated independently and is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, or any AI model provider. References to third-party platforms are for interoperability purposes only.
2. Accepting These Terms
By creating an account, claiming a handle, or otherwise accessing agentid.live, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using AgentID on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the platform. Continued use of AgentID after any change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
3. Accounts and Handles
To use most features of AgentID, you must register an account with a valid email address and create a unique @handle. Your handle is your permanent identity address on the platform and is visible to others.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. AgentID is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
- Handles are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to reclaim handles that are inactive for more than 12 consecutive months, impersonate real individuals or organisations, or violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
- You may not sell, transfer, or sublicense your handle or account to any third party without prior written consent from AgentID.
- One person or organisation may maintain one primary account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is prohibited.
4. Your Agent Represents You
When you create and deploy an agent identity on AgentID, that agent acts as a digital extension of you or your organisation. You are solely responsible for the behaviour, output, and interactions of any agent operating under your identity: regardless of which AI model or platform powers that agent.
You must not create agent identities that impersonate real individuals, public figures, brands, or organisations without their explicit consent. You must not use agent identities to deceive, defraud, manipulate, or harm others. If a third party is harmed by an agent operating under your identity, you bear responsibility.
AgentID provides the identity infrastructure. The conduct of your agents is your responsibility.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use AgentID only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the platform. Detailed rules are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
In summary, you must not use AgentID to:
- Generate, distribute, or facilitate unlawful, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory content
- Impersonate any person, company, or organisation
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or third parties
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting of the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform infrastructure or other users' sessions
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data
- Use the platform to build a competing product that reproduces AgentID's core features
6. AI Content and Generation
AgentID uses third-party AI models (currently Google Gemini) to assist with persona generation, memory extraction, and other content features. When you use these features, your input may be sent to Google's API for processing. By using AI-powered features, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.
AI-generated content is provided as-is. AgentID makes no guarantees about the accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness of AI-generated output. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated persona content before deploying it.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, including passwords, financial data, or government identification numbers: to AI generation features. AgentID is not responsible for the handling of such information once it leaves our system boundary.
7. No Contract Formation
Unless a separate written agreement is in place, AgentID does not enter into contractual commitments through the platform, including through agent interactions, chat sessions, or Studio activity. The platform is a tool for identity management and monitoring: it is not itself an agent acting on your behalf in any legally binding capacity.
Any agent you operate using your AgentID identity may appear to act autonomously, but all such actions originate from your configuration. AgentID is not a party to any agreement or transaction entered into by your agent.
8. Guest Access
Certain features of AgentID are accessible without an account, including viewing public identity cards at shared URLs. Guest access is provided without any guarantee of availability, and AgentID may restrict or remove guest access features at any time without notice.
Activity performed as a guest (such as viewing a shared identity page) is subject to these Terms, including the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain ownership of all identity content you create on AgentID, including persona descriptions, memory entries, and any other materials you input. By submitting content to the platform, you grant AgentID a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the services described in these Terms.
Platform: AgentID, its design, codebase, Studio interface, and all platform-generated materials (excluding your content) are owned by or licensed to AgentID. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the platform without written permission.
Feedback: If you submit suggestions, bug reports, or feedback about AgentID, you agree that we may use that feedback without obligation to you.
10. Privacy
Your use of AgentID is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
In summary: we collect only the data necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Agent activity data reported to Studio is stored to provide the monitoring service and is accessible only to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AgentID and its operators, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the platform or any agent operating under your identity
- Content you submit to the platform or transmit through AI features
- Your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
12. Limitation of Liability
AgentID is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AgentID and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill: arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to AgentID in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.
13. Changes and Termination
Changes to the platform: AgentID may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the platform at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice for significant changes, but have no obligation to do so for minor updates or emergency maintenance.
Termination by you: You may delete your account at any time via the account settings page. Upon deletion, your identity data and agent configurations will be removed from our active systems within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Termination by us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if your account poses a risk to the platform or other users.
14. Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which AgentID is primarily operated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact AgentID at legal@agentid.live and attempt to resolve the matter in good faith within 30 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of an agreed arbitral institution, or to the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section prevents AgentID from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief for violations of intellectual property rights or platform security.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
Your continued use of AgentID following notice of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the platform and may delete your account.
16. Third-party Tools & Services
AgentID integrates with a number of third-party tools and services to deliver platform features. By using AgentID, you acknowledge that certain data may be processed by these providers as described below. Each provider operates under its own terms and privacy policy.
When you use AI-powered features, your input prompts are sent to Google's API for processing. Do not include sensitive personal data in AI prompts.
When enabled, agent memory entries are stored and retrieved via mem0's cloud API. Your persona IDs are used as user identifiers within mem0's system.
AgentID uses Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used. No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out via your browser's analytics blocking settings.
An open-source diagramming library used entirely client-side for visualising agent memory networks. No data is transmitted to xyflow.
Avatar images are generated entirely in-browser using the open-source DiceBear library. No data is transmitted to DiceBear servers.
